Wahaca Celebrates Day of the Dead with New Menu and Free Mexican Spirit

Brighton Wahaca Restaurant celebrates DÃa de Muertos, or Day of the Dead, a feast of Mexican street food and a specially created cocktail and free tastings of tequila and mezcal.
Until November 2, the North Street restaurant will be adorned with traditional papel picado and specially created altars inspired by traditional ofrendas set up annually in homes across Mexico to honor loved ones.
Wahaca launched their new winter menu just in time for the celebrations and on the same day (November 2) guests will be offered a free taste of mezcal or tequila, at the end of their meal, to wear their own. toast and remember the lives of their favorite loved ones. in true Wahaca style. Forget the shoot in one. These are handcrafted spirits, made from centuries of tradition and much more suitable for sipping and savoring!

Wahaca’s new winter menu features long-standing street food, such as gork pibil tacos and grilled chicken and avocado tacos, made from open-air British meat, to which is added organic squash and crumbled feta tostadas (£ 5.75), lamb barbacoa tacos plus 7.25) and seasonal grilled hispi (£ 5.95). The all-new Wahacamole (£ 5.25) – a fresh and sustainable version of guacamole, replacing avocado with organic British beans – is a delicious, planet-friendly way to kick off your Day of the Dead feast.
And raise a glass to the dear ones with departed La Ofrenda (£ 8.25), a limited-edition cocktail created to accompany a street food feast in partnership with top-notch tequila Gran Centenario.
Inspired by (and named after) the brightly decorated altars where offerings are made in honor of those who have passed away, La Ofrenda is freshly shaken with pomegranate, lime, triple sec, Gran Centenario Blanco and finished with an edge of volcanic lava salt and edible flowers.
