Upcountry Maui pizzeria, Marlow, expands menu, adds mobile oven
After opening its doors in August 2021 with artisan Neapolitan-style sourdough pizzas, Upcountry Restaurant, Marlow is adding entrees to its permanent menu.
Chef and owner Jeff Scheer has created a cioppino, tomato and fennel stew served with shrimp, Kona kanpachi, clams and homemade sourdough. Another novelty on the menu, a duck confit, crispy in the Kiawe wood oven, served on beluga lentils, mustard cream and topped with marinated red onions.
Plus, a handmade potato gnocchi with local aliʻi and oyster mushrooms, Italian sausages prepared on site, arugula and parmesan cheese. Finally, tiger prawns, roasted in a wood oven and served on bagnetto verde, have been added to the permanent selection of appetizers.
“Our vision has always been to grow beyond pizza and continue to evolve the restaurant. We will continue to add to our menu and look forward to eventually having a cocktail hour,” Chef Jeff said. “We want the experience to remain interesting for our customers.”
Marlow’s Cafe Bar, independently operated by Cream, offers artisan coffee specialties and locally made organic baked goods with gluten-free and vegan options. The Crema boutique espresso bar is set up to offer coffee and handcrafted desserts.
Marlow and Crema plan to host live music and daytime markets featuring local artists. Beyond the showcase, Marlow and Crema are now accepting bookings for parties and private events.
Marlow has a new mobile pizza oven starting this month. This new branch of catering offers pizzas, hand-selected wines, cocktails, as well as a fully personalized and customizable dining experience.
