Honeygrow Presents “Yo, Adrian!” » a heavyweight jumping champion
New fall menu dish riffs on the classic sausage and pepper sandwich while paying homage to the iconic Philadelphia Underdog
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (RestaurantNews.com) honeythe 29-unit Philadelphia-based fast-casual restaurant known for its simple, creative and healthy foods now in seven markets, is launching the Yo, Adrian!, a seasonal stir-fry inspired by Philadelphia’s legendary Italian market and its incredible meals, experiences and flavors that are ubiquitous in our food culture. The stir-fry includes sweet Italian sausage, red onions, organic baby spinach, roasted red peppers, grape tomatoes, chili flakes, fresh mozzarella, and the trademark tomato-basil broth. Yo, Adrian! is inspired by the flavors of the classic sausage and bell pepper sandwich. The name is a playful nod to the fictional but beloved underdog, Rocky Balboa, who walked through Philadelphia’s iconic Italian market in the original films.
The Yo, Adrian! is priced at $12.75 and is available starting September 13 at all honey grow locations in DE, MA, MD, NJ, NY, PA, and VA. As a hearty, high-protein version of a sausage and pepper sandwich, Yo, Adrian! is perfectly timed for the start of the football season. honeygrow marries the rich flavors of sausage and roasted red peppers with a hint of chili flakes to create a nostalgic and irresistible dish, whether to stalk or feed a crowd of gamers.
“We had so much fun creating Yo, Adrian! As a long time regular in the Italian market and self-proclaimed sandwich snob, this was a simple and delicious dish to add to the menu,” said Justin Rosenberg, founder and CEO of honeygrow. “On a personal note, I’m a die-hard Rocky fan and even proposed to my wife at the top of the stairs at the Philadelphia Art Museum. So for me, and for most Philadelphians, it’s really fun to do a nod to one of our favorite inspirational characters from our hometown.
