Chef Megan Mitchell will create an organic menu to benefit

Washington DC, Nov. 29, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Seasoned chef and internet personality Megan Mitchell will work her magic with organic ingredients provided by sponsors to create a delicious personalized organic dinner for guests of The Organic Center’s 16e Annual fundraising dinner in Anaheim on March 6, 2019.

Organized in conjunction with Natural Products Expo West, the annual dinner is the largest fundraising event for The Organic Center. It brings together hundreds of visionaries, activists and organic businesses to enjoy an all-organic feast and shine a light on the latest scientific advances in the environmental and health benefits of organic food and farming.

Widely celebrated as a chef and host, Megan has worked with the Food Network, the Cooking Channel and the Tastemade digital network.

“We are delighted to have Chef Megan Mitchell on board to design our menu and create attractive and nutritious organic dishes to satisfy your appetite,” said Dr. Jessica Shade, director of science programs at the Organic Center.

“Beside the Organic Center, I look forward to an incredible evening where all parts of this great community authentically come together to celebrate and raise funds for this important organization. I am excited to toast new friends and share my commitment to organic food with those in attendance.

The evening’s stimulating program will feature keynote speaker Shannon Allen, creator and owner of the all-organic fast food chain Grow â„¢ and wife of two-time NBA champion Ray Allen. The flagship grow â„¢ opened two years ago on a busy stretch of highway in South Florida. The concept expanded to six operations, including one at Wesleyan University, three non-traditional sports arena locations, and one location inside a Walmart Supercenter in Orlando. The locations offer freshly prepared, nutrient-dense breakfast, lunch and dinner menus made from strictly 100% certified organic ingredients.
